Oh life.

So life has been crazy. But of course in the best way possible. Exciting things have happened and it's finally calming down enough to get back here. I can't believe my last post was from March! So crazy. I have missed this though.

So the best news of all is I have a new job! Back in March I interviewed with a company call Park West Gallery. I was hired, traveled for training and moved to Michigan all in the span of about a week. Crazy right.

Nadine West--March 30

Today in the mail my new Nadine West came! I'm always excited when I see these pretty pink mailers.

This time, instead of a stylist picking everything, I was able to pick two of the items and they chose the third. As always, there was a packing list with the details of the items inside.
We have earrings, a necklace and a top! The top was my pick and I totally forgot I picked this one.

The earrings are called Mysterious Medallion Studs. It's hard to see in the photo because they are a black stone kind of color. But they do have spirals on the ends. They are cute but wouldn't work in my current wardrobe in the black. I already have two similar colors that I never wear. They are $9.99 and going back.

The necklace is called XO-Love and comes in at $13.99. It's one of the items I picked. When given the choices it was the one I liked the best because I disliked so many of the other choices. I have been wearing a bar necklace as my go to so the heart and the stones really are too much for me. Definitely a go back.

The shirt is called Picket Full of Sparkles and comes in at $22.49. This was another one of the items I picked and it's definitely going back. I don't like the teal strip at the bottom at all. It hits right at my hips which is somewhere no one wants highlighted. I also don't like the cut of it. The sleeves were fitted but the body was too loose. The really sour thing is the price. I almost bought a top like this with the same pocket for like $10 at Rue21 but that was too much.

Influenster box

I'm so excited. My new Influenster box came today. I love the pink box and the contents are pretty sweet too.

There are a ton of things in the box and a lot of them I have been wanting to try. The first of which is the tooth brush and paste. The toothbrush is the new Colgate Optic White with built in white ing pen. I have heard good things and am excited to try. Same with the toothpaste.
The Tide pods are exciting too. I don't think I can use them now, hopefully I will be able to in the near future.

There are some John Frieda products too. One is a sample of seven day volume treatment and the other are samples of beach blonde products. I'm excited for the salt spray. I love waves in the summer because it's so easy to do.
There is a little hand cream and some coupons too. I do love a good coupon. I promise to do some reviews after using the products. But I'm super excited to try them out.

But first let me take a selfie

How cute is this shirt!! Marley Lilly is giving them away when you spend $30. They are having a flash sale right now and have the perfect monograms for every budget. I have a few things already picked out. Check them out and tell me what you are buying.

My Nadine West Subscription--box 1

The I'm super excited to share this with you. I have jumped on the subscription bandwagon. Nadine West is a jewlery and clothing one. The membership is free, you just pay for the items you want to keep after 10 days.

My first package came today and I am loving it so far. The envelope is pink!! Always a good start with a pink package.

This is what came on my box. I think it's really cute stuff and great for a first box.

The nice thing is on the packing list, Nadine West puts the name and price of each item and a space for comments.

The chevron scarf is the bottom item. I love the pattern and the fact that is an infinity scarf. It's $18.99 so more that I would ever spend on a scarf. And it is a little smaller than I like for a knitted scarf. It's going back.

The necklace is called Just a Little Love pendant. Super cute name. It's a cute necklace but not my style. It's seems like it should be heavy but doesn't feel that way on. Length is also weird. While it is adjustable the last opening is the best and is still a little on the short side for me. It comes in at $14.99 and is going back.

These are probably my favorite out of all of them! They are ladybugs and pearls. So cute. They are $9.99 and I am really debating on these ones. I don't think I would wear them enough for it to be worth the cost. But I live the pearls.

Overall I liked everything just not enough to buy any of it. I'm going to record the notes I made here for each item on the packing sheet do my next box might have more to keep. The shipping label for the return stuff is all in the package too!

Programs here!!

So one of the exciting things I have for this semester is volunteering with Alpha Xi Delta. I'm so excited to give back to an organization that made my time in college ten times better.

This endeavor actually started at the end of last year but with the first meeting being this past Sunday, I'm filling it here.

I am the Programs Advisior for the Delta Kappa chapter at Slippery Rock University. I'm excited to get to know the amazing sisters at SRU and can't wait to help them grow. The programs VP Jess is so on it! It's going to be a treat to work with her and see how great she does. And I get to hang with my quad on the regular. Love family time!

If you are thinking of getting involved after your collegiate time is over I highly recommend it!! It's a great way to give back and help keep your sorority strong. Alpha Xi Delta has a form for volunteering and I imagine other organizations do as well. Also keep in contact with your alumni. The chapter advisor for DK is also an alumna of YSU. Offering to help led to a great opportunity.

I'll keep you posted on all the good things going down.

New year, new goal

Hello friends!

It has been a while since I have written. I let the holidays and work get the best of me. It left very little free time to post, since most was spent with family and friends. But I am back! A few things have changed, but life goes on! I am so excited for the new opportunities that 2015 is offering to me.  And its good to know I have an amazing support system for the changes.

I have thought a lot about things and its good knowing what you want from it. I am working hard to get on track and get back to some of the dreams I haven’t been pushing. This blog is one of them. It has always been my musings, which I love. I am making it my new years resolution, to be here more and really to post more. There is so much going on in my head and while I don’t want to plaster the internet with all of it, getting some little things, ideas or wishes out would be better than letting them get lost in my head.

So I hope you are excited for some new things! I am hoping this is one resolution I can stick with.

Heres to 2015 and to trying.
